About Peter
Peter Evans, PhD, serves as Chief Economist of the Global Reverse Logistics Alliance, leading economic research and thought leadership on global reverse logistics, circular supply chains, and next-generation technology and software. With over 20 years of experience as a strategic innovation executive, Evans specializes in platform economics, circular economy strategy, and technology-enabled enterprise transformation. As Managing Partner of All Things Circular, he advises organizations on platform business models that connect stakeholders across digital marketplaces, logistics networks, and technology ecosystems. Previously, Evans held senior strategy and innovation roles at McFadyen Digital, KPMG, the Center for Global Enterprise, General Electric, and IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), now part of S&P Global. His experience spans North America, Europe, Asia, and emerging markets, with deep expertise in digital transformation, regulatory strategy, and cross-border partnerships. Evans holds a PhD in International Political Economy and a master’s degree in International Economic Development from MIT. He co-chairs the MIT Platform Strategy Summit and previously served as a Board Member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). He writes frequently, including contributions to the Sloan Management Review, Forbes, and Harvard Business Review, and is a regular Substack publisher on platform strategy, circular economy innovation, and emerging technology.
